On a spring day in 1994, a 6-year old boy was playing with his remote control car when the batteries unexpectedly died! He searched the house high and low looking for replacements; first in the fridge, then the cupboard. He was ecstatic when he finally located the batteries he needed in the kitchen “junk drawer”. However, his problem continued when there were so many loose batteries in the drawer that he was unable to find any fully charged replacements that were the proper size.

Instead of running to his parents in tears like many other 6-year olds, the little boy decided to solve an organizational problem that has plagued families for decades. He came up with the idea to create a battery organizer that doubled as a battery tester to ensure that he would always be able to find the extra batteries he needed for his toys. As a result, the Battery Rack 40 was born…and the rest is history!
